Athletics

Are you interested in playing athletics while going to school? Are you interested in being recruited?

Follow the steps below to begin the recruitment process:

1) Make a list of all the schools you wish to attend (name of institute, website address, mailing address, phone number).

2) Write a letter or email to the coaches introducing yourself and letting them know of your intentions. This introction should briefly tell them about 3 or 4 of your athletic accomplishments (highlights/honors) from your most recent season, why you enjoy competing in your sport and how will you benefit their team.

3) Create a player profile that includes a list of the teams you have played for, including a list of accomplishments, honors, highlights, a list of the coaches’ names and phone numbers. Your profile should follow your letter and should include all factual information. Be prepared to have a videotape of your abilities if a coach asks for one.

4) When you have been noticed by a school, the recruiting officer will sent you a questionnaire to fill out. Complete the questionnaire and return it quickly!
