Showcase Portfolios

A “showcase” career portfolio is used for a specific situation, such as a program or job interview.

A “showcase” career portfolio is created using the items you have already collected within a career portfolio .

To create a temporary “showcase” career portfolio for a specific siutation, follow the steps below:

  • Get a new three-ring binder to be the “showcase” career portfolio.
  • Select only the relevant items in your career portfolio and put them into the “showcase” career portfolio.
  • Categorize the items and create a Table of Contents.
  • Create Divider Pages for each category. You may also use tab extenders.
  • Review the sequence of the content (categories, table of contents, items, . . .) to ensure there is a logical flow of information presented.
  • Ensure the showcase career portfolio is attractive but not so large that it is overwhelming for the audience.
