Showcase Portfolios
A “showcase” career portfolio is used for a specific situation, such as a program or job interview.
A “showcase” career portfolio is created using the items you have already collected within a career portfolio .
To create a temporary “showcase” career portfolio for a specific siutation, follow the steps below:
- Get a new three-ring binder to be the “showcase” career portfolio.
- Select only the relevant items in your career portfolio and put them into the “showcase” career portfolio.
- Categorize the items and create a Table of Contents.
- Create Divider Pages for each category. You may also use tab extenders.
- Review the sequence of the content (categories, table of contents, items, . . .) to ensure there is a logical flow of information presented.
- Ensure the showcase career portfolio is attractive but not so large that it is overwhelming for the audience.
