Nursing Degree Program: SIAST/U of R

Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (direct entry) is offered jointly by SIAST and the University of Regina. Students who are interested in applying for September 2012 may begin to apply NOW. The BScN program is a competitive entry program. U of S Greystone Scholarship

Grade 12 students, who in Grade 11 achieved an average of 95% or higher based on a five-subject formula, are eligible for nomination to the Greystone Scholars Society. Among the many perks is a $3,000 scholarship. Please see Mrs. McLeod regarding nomination. The nomination deadline is November 1st, 2011. U of S Admission Workshop

The U of S will be presenting an admissions workshop for students on Thursday, November 17th during Period 5 in Rm 229. A recruitment officer from the U of S will demonstrate how to apply online for admission, as well as answer questions about U of S programs and services, awards, scholarships and bursaries. (For example, if you apply for admission, pay the $90 application fee and report your marks by February 15th, it will maximize your award potential. The deadline for Competitive Entrance Awards is February 15th, 2012.)

To attend, students must get permission from their Period 5 teacher and complete a pink “Out of Class” permission slip available at Student Services.

The application period for the following high-demand programs is October 1st, 2011 – February 15th, 2012: Applied Photography, Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology, Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Radiologic Technology, Power Engineering Technology, Practical Nursing.
