Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship

The Government of Saskatchewan is awarding up to six scholarships of $1000. The scholarships are awarded annually to qualifying nominees currently registered in Grade 12 at a Saskatchewan high school and are intended to assist with the first year of post-secondary education. The completed nomination form (including a portfolio outline) and a letter of nomination outlining how the student being nominated fits the criteria must be submitted to the selection committee by March 15, 2015.

A selection committee will review all nominations received, and will select qualified winners for both scholarships based on the following criteria:

1. Leadership
2. Responsibilities out of school
3. Financial support needed
4. Academic performance

Each scholarship applicant submission must be complete and include the following:

1. A completed nomination form
2. A letter of nomination from the school leadership team
3. A student portfolio

All winning and non-winning nominees will be notified following the review process in the spring of each year. Recipients will also receive a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Education before the end of the school year in which they were nominated.

Grade 11 Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship

The scholarships are warded annually to qualified nominees currently registered in Grade 11 at a Saskatchewan high school. The completed nomination form (including a portfolio outline) and a letter of nomination outlining how the student being nominated fits the criteria must be submitted to the selection committee by March 15, 2015.

The selection committee will review all nominations received, and will select qualified winners for both scholarships based on the following criteria:

3. Financial support needed
4. Academic performance

Affinity Credit Union Members: Grade 11 Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Award

The Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Award Program gives Grade 11 students a chance to take part in a unique experience to learn about co-operatives. The program is a unique experience for an aspiring leader. As well, two awards ($2500 each) are available in each district, except in District 23 where 4 awards are given.

To apply, the student must either be a Member or be a Dependent of a Member of Affinity in order to qualify. The student must also complete an applica​tion form and a 400-word essay (to show an understanding of co-operatives principles and how co-operatives make a difference). The student must also submit marks (Grade 10 and first semester Grade 11) and a refe​rence letter​ by midnight May 3rd

Affinity Credit Union Members: Build a Better World

Are you a Grade 12 Affinity Credit Union member and about to enter your first year of university or college?

If so, you can apply for a $500 Affinity Build a Better World Scholarship! A total of 88 scholarships will be given out in 2015.

Complete the application form including two short essay questions on why you’ve chosen your career path and your ideas on making this a better world for everyone. Send in your application, marks, proof of enrolment or tuition payment, and reference letter by midnight May 3rd, 2015.

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. Their students are U of S Arts & Science students and STM students at the same time. Their classes are U of S credit classes. Each year at the St. Mary High School Commencement Exercises ONE St. Mary High School graduate who has registered through STM is eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship valued at $2,000. Grade 12 Transcripts

Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a Post Secondary Institution in September 2015 will need their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education. Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (STS) Prince Albert Chapter Scholarships

The (STS) Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $500. All applications must be received by the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (Prince Albert Chapter) before August 1st of the calendar year. SaskTel Scholarships
