Canadian Parents for French – Grade 9 to Grade 12

If you are in French immersion and are interested in applying for the CPF bursary, please see M. Gervais to get an application form. The deadline to submit your form is Monday, May 2nd.  Grade 9-11  is a $100 bursary and Grade 12 is a $300.00 bursary.

Build a Better World Scholarship – $500

Eighty-eight $500 scholarships will be awarded to Grade 12 students. To be eligible to apply, students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union, or a dependent of a member. Elwood Harvey Cooperative Scholarship – $2500

Two $2500 scholarships will be awarded to Grade 11 students in each of the 12 geographic districts. To be eligible to apply, students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union, or a dependent of a member. The deadline to apply is May 15th, 2016. Sask Polytechnic Evening Information Session

Thomas More College University of Saskatchewan Scholarship

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. Their students are U of S Arts & Science students and STM students at the same time. Their classes are U of S credit classes. Each year at the St. Mary High School Commencement Exercises ONE St. Mary High School graduate that has registered through STM is eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship valued at $2,000.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada – Social Justice Award ($1000)

The Saskatchewan Provincial Council of the Catholic Women’s League has established a Social Justice Award to enable young women to engage in social justice work. The awards application deadline is April 30, 2016. For information on award criteria and an application form, see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services.

National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarships ($1,500)

This scholarship is open to Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary education institution full-time in 2015 – 2016 and who are the children, grandchildren or foster children of a NUPGE member. Please see a counselor in Student Services or go to www.nupge.ca/scholarships for information and application forms for The Tommy Douglas Scholarship, The Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship, The Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians, and The Scholarship for Visible minorities. The deadline to apply is July 6th, 2016.

Conexus Community Youth Leadership Award ($500)

The Conexus Community Youth Leadership Award is presented to a graduating high school student who demonstrates co-operative spirit, community involvement, and leadership. The goal is to promote the benefits of being a Conexus Credit Union member and to recognize the contributions made to their school and community. Information about the award, as well as an application form, can be found at the website www.conexus.ca/AboutConexus/OurCommunity/LeadershipAward

Students must email a completed application form, reference letters (community leader, school faculty) and a report card or transcript. Additional criteria includes the following:

  • Must be a graduating high school student in Saskatchewan
  • Must be a Conexus Credit Union Member (or parent/guardian of applicant) for at least one year and accounts must be in good standing.
  • Must be a Saskatchewan resident
  • Award recipients must submit and grant permission to use his/her name and photo in any and all media releases or publications controlled by Conexus
  • Completed applications must be received by Conexus by midnight on April 1, 2016.  Late submissions will not be considered.
