This program is open to Aboriginal students who demonstrate a financial need, are committed to academics, make a contribution to family and community, demonstrate eadership and are a role model within their community. No application is required! If you have a final admission average of 85% or higher, and are planning to enter the U of A in Seotember 2013, you are guaranteed to receive $1,000 or more. “How to Improve Your Community Competition” is open to Grade 12 students. Interested students are to create a written plan for a community development iniative. The winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship. The competition runs from September 15th until November 30th, 2012. The Loran Award seeks to recognize students who demonstrate character, leadership a strong commitment and service to the community. Up to thirty Loran Awards are available at up to $80,000. The Rotary Club of Prince Albert invites applications for students to attend an all-expenses-paid camp which focuses on leadership and has a lot of recreational activities. The deadline to apply is May 30th. Contact Mrs. McLeod for more details.
