The University of Ottawa video competition aims to highlight topics from the Graeco-Roman world. Students in Grades 9-12 who are between the ages of 14 and 18 are encouraged to submit a video in English or French. Possible subjects include: ‘Why did the Persians invade Greece?’, ‘A day at the racetrack in ancient Rome’, a work of literature (a play by Euripides, a poem by Ovid) or a work of ancient art (vase, coin, statue). A prize of $500 will be offered for the best entry, with two runner-up prizes of $200. The best entries will also be posted on the website dedicated to the annual competition.
