Affinity Credit Union Scholarships – Gr 11 and Gr 12

Affinity Credit Union has two great scholarship opportunities for grade 11 and 12 students. To be eligible to apply students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member.   • Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program – Grade 11 students

Each student receives a $2500 award upon completion of the leadership program. Twenty-six students are accepted into the program. This award is offered by our District Councils, those who’ve been elected to represent their communities within the credit union. It gives recipients the chance to participate in their local District Council meetings and a variety of other events during their grade 12 year! Deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.

  • Build a Better World Scholarship – Grade 12 students

This program is designed for students graduating in spring 2017 and enrolling in post-secondary education. We have 88 scholarships of $500 to award this year! Deadline to apply is April 17, 2017. 

 

SaskTel Scholarships

Every year, SaskTel helps students pursue career goals by awarding eight scholarships, worth $3000 each, to Saskatchewan students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in, or about to enroll in, full-time studies (minimum 8 months) at a post-secondary education institute in Saskatchewan; be taking a degree, diploma, or certificate program directly related to communications (such as engineering, computer sciences, accounting, business administration etc.); and have achieved a minimum 75% average in the most recent education standing. SaskTel encourages Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, visible minority (non-Caucasians), and women interested in non-traditional careers, to apply. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2017. The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award

The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award ($28,000 dispersed over four years) is open to students of all abilities who are pursuing a degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox to improve human welfare, make a difference, and have a positive impact on community and others, their courage in overcoming obstacles (physical, financial, etc.), and definite marks of distinction and persistence in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic, and civic life. Schulich Leader Scholarship Nominee

The Schulich Leader Scholarship is a prestigious entrance scholarship awarded to a high school graduate enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) program at partner universities. The criteria includes: academic excellence, leadership, and financial need.  Any students interested in being the St. Mary Nominee for the Schulich Leader Scholarship can see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services before Friday, January 13, 2017. U of R: ADMISSION ON THE SPOT

The University of Regina, which uses 20-level or 30-level classes for admission, allows students to register and be admitted on the spot – including free U of R mittens! The next “Admission on the Spot” events will be November 30th from 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Saskatoon, and December 1st from 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Regina. U OF R: COLLEGE OF NURSING

U of R: COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

November 7th, 2016

Students applying to the College of Education must select the Teacher Education Application Profile (TEAP) when starting the online application process. Students can review the TEAP before completing the online application at http://www.uregina.ca/education/future-students/how-to-apply.html , or attend an application workshop on Thursday, December 1st at 6:00 p.m. The deadline to apply is March 1st 2017.

 

SASK POLYTECH INSIGHT

INSIGHT events provide an opportunity for prospective students to experience a Sask Polytech program first hand. These half-day events on Wednesday, November 16th will provide insight into a specific program, student life, campus atmosphere, admission requirements, and the application process. Applications for Living in Residence at U of S

Applications to live in the U of S Residences for 2017/2018 will be available the first week of November 2016. Residence applications are considered on a first-come-first-served basis, regardless of the student’s admission status. Anyone who is considering living on campus while studying at the U of S is strongly encouraged to submit an application online to live in Residence as early as possible. If you have any questions about the residences or the application, contact the Residence Services Office at residence@usask.ca or visit the University of Saskatchewan Residence website, livewithus.usask.ca, to learn more about the benefits of living in Residence, including the safety features of living on campus, campus meal plans and the many supports and services provided to residents.

 

Early Admission to U of S for 2017-2018

October 25th, 2016

December 1 is the deadline to apply for early admission to programs in the Edwards School of Business, the College of Engineering and the College of Kinesiology in order to be eligible to apply for “Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships”. By December 1, applicants must submit the online application for admission and application fee, an up-to-date transcript, an official timetable or class schedule listing all classes they will be completing, and proof of English proficiency, if required. Within 2-3 business days after applying for admission, each applicant will receive a Network Services ID (NSID) and password to access PAWS, the web portal of the uSask, where the student can check the status of the applications and also apply for awards.

The deadline to apply for Regular Admission to U of S for 2017-2018 is February 15th, 2017.
