Affinity Credit Union Members: Build a Better World

Are you a Grade 12 Affinity Credit Union member and about to enter your first year of university or college?

If so, you can apply for a $500 Affinity Build a Better World Scholarship! A total of 88 scholarships will be given out in 2015.

Complete the application form including two short essay questions on why you’ve chosen your career path and your ideas on making this a better world for everyone. Send in your application, marks, proof of enrolment or tuition payment, and reference letter by midnight May 3rd, 2015.

U of S: St. Thomas More College

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. Their students are U of S Arts & Science students and STM students at the same time. Their classes are U of S credit classes. Each year at the St. Mary High School Commencement Exercises ONE St. Mary High School graduate who has registered through STM is eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship valued at $2,000. U of S Deadlines: Engineering, Business, Kinesiology

Grade 12 students applying to engineering, business, and kinesiology must have marks and other supporting documents submitted to the U of S by the deadline of Sunday, March 1st, 2015. See Mrs. Rapin in Student Services if you have any questions.

 

Grade 12 Transcripts

March 2nd, 2015

Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a Post Secondary Institution in September 2015 will need their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education. You may order your transcript online by going to www.education.gov.sk.ca/transcripts. Please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services, if you have any questions.

 

Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (STS) Prince Albert Chapter Scholarships

The (STS) Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $500. All applications must be received by the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (Prince Albert Chapter) before August 1st of the calendar year. SaskTel Scholarships

SaskTel awards several scholarships of $3000 to students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan who are studying in a field directly to information and communication technology. Apply before March 13, 2015. For more details on eligibility and to apply, visit sasktel.com/careers

 

MC College Creative Scholarship

March 2nd, 2015

This scholarship recognizes High School students demonstrating outstanding creativity and community involvement. It was created to assist students in their endeavor to enter a career in the Salon or Spa Industry. The scholarship is valued at $1000.00 and may be applied to either full-time Hairstyling or full-time Esthetics programs at MC College. Application deadline is June 30th, 2015. Wayne Eger Learner Scholarship

March 2nd, 2015

Applicable to some high school ELA students.  It is an annual scholarship of $1000.00. It may be awarded to one person ($1000.00) or to two people ($500.00 each), for further education or training. Submission deadline for this scholarship is April 15, 2015. Application forms and guidelines are posted on the TESL Saskatchewan website at http://www.teslsask.com/scholarship/

 

University of Alberta Academic Excellence Scholarship

If you have a final admission average of 90% or higher and are planning to enter the U of A in September 2015, you are guaranteed to receive $1,000 or more. Please go to admissions.ualberta.ca and click on ‘money matters’.
