Jack Moore Memorial Scholarship & Burgess Bursary

Saskatchewan Command is offering 10 Scholarships and 10 Bursaries of $500 each. Criteria includes being a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a current- or former-serving member of the Canadian Armed or Allied Forces or RCMP, as well as entering First Year of Post-Secondary Education at a University, Technical/Trade School or a Business College. Bourse Canadian Parents for French – Prince Albert

Canadian Parents for French – Prince Albert offre une bourse pour un ou une élève de 12 année en immersion française. Les candidates et les candidats doivent démontrer un certain leadership et un intérêt pour la langue française. La bourse est d’une valeur de 300 $ pour la 12e année. CST Foundation Bursaries: $6,000 x 25

The Canadian Scholarship Trust (CST) Foundation supports access to post-secondary education (PSE) for all Canadians and believes that finances should not be a barrier to accessing post-secondary education. The $6,000 bursaries focus on financial need, and students who demonstrate strong character: resiliency, community-mindedness, and commitment to excellence. As well, the students must be in Grade 12 and first-generation PSE students (students whose parents did not attend post-secondary education). The application deadline is Friday, April 14th.  Students will have to complete their application in one sitting, including the following: financial need essay (500 words or less), accomplishments essay (300 words or less), future aspirations statement (75 words or less), reference letter attachment, and high school transcript (unofficial). Kin Canada Bursary ($1000)

This bursary is open to any student who is in the process of graduating from high school or currently studying or registered at a post-secondary institution. Applicants will be evaluated on their community and school involvement, knowledge of Kin Canada and financial need. The application form must be submitted by February 1st, 2023 and winners will be notified before June 30 by their sponsoring club. IBAS Young Community Leader Bursary

The Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) is offering the 2023 ‘IBAS Young Community Leader Bursary’ for grade 12 students entering post-secondary education. It is a one-time cash bursary amount of $5,000 to be given to the successful applicant. IBAS Young Community Leader Bursary: $7000

The 2022 Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) Young Community Leader Bursary — presented in partnership with Red River Mutual — recognizes one graduating Saskatchewan high school student who exemplifies outstanding dedication to making their community a better place. This year, in celebration of IBAS’s 70th anniversary, the successful applicant will receive a one-time cash award in the amount of $7,000, to be announced no later than Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Regarding Eligibility & Selection Criteria, the recipient of the Young Community Leader Bursary will:

  • Be a Grade 12 student in Saskatchewan, graduating between May 1, 2022, and July 31, 2022, with an intent to pursue some form of recognized post-secondary education within the next two years (apprenticeship or trades program, college, university, etc.)
  • Demonstrate an exceptional commitment to their community through volunteerism and leadership of civic, school-based, and/or extra-curricular activities.
  • Be a role model for their peers and the next generation of young leaders
  • Demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum cumulative Grade 11 average of 80%.

To submit your name for consideration, you must complete a short online application form, which requires 250 – 750 words explaining how you have made a meaningful difference in your community, and how that involvement has helped shape your life and future ambitions. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. sharp on Friday, June 3, 2022. Let’s Talk Careers Competition

ChatterHighSkills Canada and Let’s Talk Science have joined together to provide an opportunity for students to virtually explore a wide array of occupations and post-secondary programs of study with the fourth annual Let’s Talk Careers: Canada’s Most Informed School Competition. This career exploration opportunity also includes two national competitions (Fall 2020: October 26 to December 4 and Spring 2021: April 12 to May 21). Once registered, students will answer a ten-question quiz each day to earn points towards their personal leaderboards and the school wide totals. These quizzes encourage them to research and explore thousands of higher education and career options that they may not have been exposed to any other way.
