This bursary is open to any student who is in the process of graduating from high school or currently studying or registered at a post-secondary institution. Applicants will be evaluated on their community and school involvement, knowledge of Kin Canada and financial need. TELUS is supporting students (ages of 17 and 29) who are committed to making a difference in their communities by taking on a social impact initiative over the course of their degree or diploma. Bursaries of $3,000 for college and $5,000 for university are available to pay for tuition and other academic fees in any program. Criteria for eligibility includes demonstrated critical financial need ($65,000 or less net combined family income), acceptance into or attending a first full-time undergraduate degree or diploma program at a college, university or polytechnic institute in Canada, and commitment to making a positive social or environmental impact in their community. Canadian Parents for French – Prince Albert offre une bourse pour un ou une élève de 12 année en immersion française. Les candidates et les candidats doivent démontrer un certain leadership et un intérêt pour la langue française. La bourse est d’une valeur de 300 $ pour la 12e année. The Canadian Scholarship Trust (CST) Foundation supports access to post-secondary education (PSE) for all Canadians and believes that finances should not be a barrier to accessing post-secondary education. The $6,000 bursaries focus on financial need, and students who demonstrate strong character: resiliency, community-mindedness, and commitment to excellence. As well, the students must be in Grade 12 and first-generation PSE students (students whose parents did not attend post-secondary education). The application deadline is Friday, April 14^th.  Students will have to complete their application in one sitting, including the following: financial need essay (500 words or less), accomplishments essay (300 words or less), future aspirations statement (75 words or less), reference letter attachment, and high school transcript (unofficial). The Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) is offering the 2023 ‘IBAS Young Community Leader Bursary’ for grade 12 students entering post-secondary education. It is a one-time cash bursary amount of $5,000 to be given to the successful applicant. The 2022 Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) Young Community Leader Bursary — presented in partnership with Red River Mutual — recognizes one graduating Saskatchewan high school student who exemplifies outstanding dedication to making their community a better place. This year, in celebration of IBAS’s 70th anniversary, the successful applicant will receive a one-time cash award in the amount of $7,000, to be announced no later than Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Regarding Eligibility & Selection Criteria, the recipient of the Young Community Leader Bursary will:

• Be a Grade 12 student in Saskatchewan, graduating between May 1, 2022, and July 31, 2022, with an intent to pursue some form of recognized post-secondary education within the next two years (apprenticeship or trades program, college, university, etc.)
• Demonstrate an exceptional commitment to their community through volunteerism and leadership of civic, school-based, and/or extra-curricular activities.
• Be a role model for their peers and the next generation of young leaders
• Demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum cumulative Grade 11 average of 80%.
