The Rotary Club of Ottawa presents “Adventures in Citizenship 2016”, from May 1 – May 4, 2016 in Ottawa, Ontario for students ages 16 – 18. This annual event provides a unique opportunity for a selected group of 200 young Canadians to come together and gain a better understanding of our country. Through meetings with political leaders, senior officials and others, they learn a great deal about the workings of our democratic institutions. Through meeting one another and having discussions among themselves, they learn to appreciate the diversity of Canada and the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship. This is Canada’s largest youth forum. Students ages 14-17 attend week-long sessions in Ottawa. See Mrs. Rapin in Student Services for more information on session themes and upcoming dates.

Forum brings students to Ottawa and immerses them in national politics and public affairs. If you are interested in joining hundreds of other high school students for a one-week stay in Ottawa on Parliament Hill, please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services for more information and application forms or go to www.forum.ca.

A student recruitment officer will be coming to St. Mary High School on Thursday, October 29^th, 2015 in the afternoon. Any students interested in meeting with her may see a Mrs. Rapin in Student Services to set up an appointment.

Grade 12 students interested in attending the University of Regina may attend the U of R Fall Open House on Saturday, October 17^th, 2015. Information can be found at www.uregina.ca/futurestudents or they can see a guidance counselor in Student Services for information.

A Student Recruitment Advisor from Saskatchewan Polytechnic will be at St. Mary High School during Parent/Teacher/Interviews on November 4, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The advisor will be available to answer questions about programs and the application process.

Are you interested in the field of engineering and looking for more information on professions in this field and possible education options? This event aims to answer questions that students might have and provide an introduction to the educational opportunities for Engineering students in Saskatchewan. This event takes place at the U of S on November 9, 2015 and students must preregister.
