USask Open House – Friday, September 23rd

USask Open House is Friday, September 23rd and the U of S is looking forward to welcoming prospective students and parents back to campus! While USask Open House will be delivered in a hybrid model (in-person and online), a lot of activities will be offered in-person including college sessions, campus tours, and apply on the spot workshops. Women in Technology: Ages 12-15

Wednesday, May 18th, 2022

Females aged 12 – 15 who are interested in trades and technology are encouraged to register for a week-long day camp where they will build and assemble a variety of projects, explore careers in trades and technology, and connect with women in those careers. The camp also highlights the importance of course choices, such as science, math and industrial arts at the high-school level. The camp is available as follows: Prince Albert July 11 – 15, Saskatoon July 4 – 8 and Regina July 11 – 15. SUTIL Grade 11 Virtual Fair

Saskatchewan Universities and Technical Institute Liaison (SUTIL) will once again be hosting a Grade 11 Virtual Fair on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The fair will be hosted virtually through the sutil.ca platform. Students will have access to short presentations, which will be scheduled throughout the entire day in a rotation of concurrent sessions. Students can visit the sutil.ca website and click on the banner titled “Grade 11 Virtual Career Fair. This will connect them to a Google Doc that lists each presenter and the time they are presenting. Rotary Club Youth Leadership Training

Youth Leadership is a primary focus of Rotary International. The Rotary Club of Prince Albert is offering sponsorship of two Leadership training opportunities, this spring and summer, for high school students in Prince Albert and area, based on teacher recommendations and student interviews. U of A Registration 101 Workshops

Registration 101 Workshops are now available at the University of Alberta. Students will learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration, chat with an advisor and get advice on which courses to take, and explore the next steps on their journey at the U of A. Students can view the full schedule and register at uab.ca/reg101. While all admitted students are welcome to attend, students must have accepted their admission offer to build a draft schedule.

Lakeland College

From February 22nd – February 25th, students can tour the Lloydminster and Vermilion campus, as well as the hands-on learning opportunities available such as a Student-Managed Farm, Emergency Training Centre, Cenovus Energy Lab, and more! As well, Lakeland College is hosting an information session on-campus on Thursday, March 10 (Lloydminster) and Friday, March 11 (Vermilion). U of R Early Admission

The next Early Admission Days for High School Students event is Tuesday, February 8th – Tuesday, February 15th. This is a special application period designed to help students fill out their University of Regina application(s)! Students will have their application processed within a week, and if admissible, receive conditional acceptance. Students also receive a reduced application fee ($50). Chat with USask

1) Book a Chat with USask every Wednesday and Friday afternoon (12 pm – 6 pm, CST). During the booked appointment students will be able to connect with a USask representative.
2) Join a Drop-in Q&A session on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm-8 pm (CST). Students can join by Zoom at any time during the drop-in and chat one-on-one. Students will be admitted from the waiting room on a first-come, first-serve basis.
