CONNECTED: Young Women Exploring Careers

CONNECTED, a virtual mentorship event on Wednesday, May 19th from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, connects females in Grade 10 – Grade 12 with women mentors from a variety of careers. For more information, or to register, visit www.saskatooniec.ca/connected . The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 12th.

University of Alberta: Online Registration Sessions

Registration for online faculty-specific and general Registration 101 sessions are now available. At these sessions, students will learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration, chat with an advisor and get advice on which courses to take, and explore the next steps on their journey at the U of A. U of R Early Admission

Early Admission Days (November 25th – December 2nd) is a special application period to help high school students fill out their University of Regina application. Students who send in their unofficial transcript and reduced application fee by Wednesday, December 2 will have their application processed within a week, and if admissible, will receive conditional acceptance. Students will also be contacted to choose a virtual appointment time in order to ‘pick up’ their admission package and discuss their admission decision! U of S: What is Engineering?

The College of Engineering is hosting a virtual edition of “What is Engineering?” on Tuesday, November 17th from 3pm to 7pm. The presentation will include a virtual tour of the Engineering Building and a talk with the dean of engineering, faculty and instructors about what engineers do and how versatile an engineering degree is. As well, participants will learn about the completely redesigned first-year engineering program called RE-ENGINEERED with key priorities of student success and wellness. SUTIL (Saskatchewan Universities and Technical Institute Liaison) will be hosting virtual Booths, Presentations and Drop-in Conversations for Saskatchewan high school students about the post-secondary options within Western Canada and the US.  The event date for the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert Catholic School Division, and PAGC is Thursday, October 22nd, 2020. Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association: FREE Virtual Summer Classes

The Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association (SEDA) is a charitable, non-profit organization that equips and supports young people (grades 5 to 12) in becoming effective communicators, deep thinkers, and engaged community members.  SEDA hosts workshops, tournaments, and debate camps and provides resources to teachers and coaches. In lieu of our traditional summer camp, SEDA is continuing to bring fun and engaging virtual speech and debate classes into the summer!  All the information about July classes and how to register is available on the front page of our website, www.saskdebate.ca  The classes are a fun and engaging way to build skills and continuing learning in the summer.
