The University of Regina’s High School Accelerated (HSXL) program allows grade 11 & 12 students to take U of R courses while still in high school. The U of R Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is hosting an information night about HSXL on Wednesday, November 17^th from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Benefits, deadlines, course offerings, requirements, dual credit, and more will be discussed. Early Admission Days for High School Students is a special application period designed to help students fill out their University of Regina application. Students will have their application (reduced fee) processed within a week, and if admissible, receive conditional acceptance. Students must submit your online application, and send in their unofficial transcripts and application fee by October 28, 2021 to be eligible. Unofficial transcripts can be sent to: enrolment.services@uregina.ca. The USask Virtual Open House is Saturday, October 23rd from 1 pm to 4 pm. The University of Alberta will be presenting to prospective students of École St. Mary High School on Thursday, October 28^th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The presentation will cover programs, campus life, and admission requirements. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to have any of their questions answered. Registration for online faculty-specific and general Registration 101 sessions are now available. At these sessions, students will learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration, chat with an advisor and get advice on which courses to take, and explore the next steps on their journey at the U of A. The College of Engineering is hosting a virtual edition of “What is Engineering?” on Tuesday, November 17^th from 3pm to 7pm. The presentation will include a virtual tour of the Engineering Building and a talk with the dean of engineering, faculty and instructors about what engineers do and how versatile an engineering degree is.
