The Loran Award seeks to recognize students who demonstrate character, leadership, and commitment and service to the community. Up to 30 Loran Awards are available (maximum $80,000). The Hershel Davidner Memorial Scholarship($1,000) will be awarded to a graduating Grade 12 studentsa entering a post secondary school. This scholarship is open to a Grade 12 graduate from S.R.S.Division and P.A.R.C.S.Division. The deadline to apply is May 30th, 2014. The Tillie and Joe Kawula Scholarship($1,000) will be awarded to a graduating Grade 12 student entering a post secondary school. This scholarships is open to Grade 12 graduates from S.R.S.Division and P.A.R.C.S.Division. The deadline to apply is May 30th, 2014. Students who will be attending a Saskatchewan-based post-secondary program that is associated with the Pulse Industry or Agriculture (Natural Sciences, Engineering, Nutrition etc.) and have a parent who is a registered pulse producer may apply for one of five scholarships, valued at $5000 each, sponsored by Saskatchewan Pulse Growers. Grade 12 students who are interested in applying for Graduation awards may pick up an awards package at the office. The application deadline is Saturday, May 10th. Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary institution in September 2014 will need to have their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education to that institution. Students may order a transcript online at www.education.gov.sk.ca/transcripts. Please see a counselor in Student Services if you have any questions.
Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Thursday, May 29th. The advisor will be at the school from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The advisor will assist with course selection and answer any other questions you may have. Students must sign up by Tuesday, May 27th to meet with the advisor. Please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services to book an appointment.
This award is open to young women between the ages of 18 – 35 years of age who have been involved in social justice activities.
