The Prince Albert and Area Teachers’ Association (PAATA) awards four $1,000 scholarships to graduating Grade 12 students who are pursuing post-secondary studies related to the field of education. This includes careers focused on teaching, educational support, child and youth development, community education, and service-based professions. If these categories are not filled, the committee will entertain additional fields. Applicants must be graduating in the year of application, accepted to a recognized post-secondary institution, and submit a complete application package by April 30. Scholarships are available to students from PACSD, Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division (Urban and Rural), and children of active or recent PAATA members. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership and community involvement, the personal essay, references, and overall completeness of the application. Successful applicants will be notified by mid-June. The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 30.
