U of R will once again be hosting an Admission on the Spot event on February 16th at the University of Regina from 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Students who submit their unofficial transcripts, with an application, at the event will receive a discounted ($70) application fee and a free pair of limited-edition U of R mittens!

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture awards a grand-prize scholarship of $4,000 and three runner-up scholarships of $2,000 for students who thinkAG. Applicants need to produce a three-minute creative video or write a well-researched fact-based 1,000-word essay sharing their food story; and provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution and a letter of recommendation from a teacher, agriculture industry or community leader. Note that immediate family of the Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation employees are not eligible to apply. The application deadline is March 1, 2017. Affinity Credit Union has two great scholarship opportunities for grade 11 and 12 students. To be eligible to apply students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member. Each student receives a $2500 award upon completion of the leadership program. Twenty-six students are accepted into the program. This award is offered by our District Councils, those who’ve been elected to represent their communities within the credit union. It gives recipients the chance to participate in their local District Council meetings and a variety of other events during their grade 12 year! Deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.
This program is designed for students graduating in spring 2017 and enrolling in post-secondary education. We have 88 scholarships of $500 to award this year! Deadline to apply is April 17, 2017.
Every year, SaskTel helps students pursue career goals by awarding eight scholarships, worth $3000 each, to Saskatchewan students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in, or about to enroll in, full-time studies (minimum 8 months) at a post-secondary education institute in Saskatchewan; be taking a degree, diploma, or certificate program directly related to communications (such as engineering, computer sciences, accounting, business administration etc.); and have achieved a minimum 75% average in the most recent education standing. SaskTel encourages Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, visible minority (non-Caucasians), and women interested in non-traditional careers, to apply. The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award ($28,000 dispersed over four years) is open to students of all abilities who are pursuing a degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox to improve human welfare, make a difference, and have a positive impact on community and others, their courage in overcoming obstacles (physical, financial, etc.), and definite marks of distinction and persistence in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic, and civic life. The Schulich Leader Scholarship is a prestigious entrance scholarship awarded to a high school graduate enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) program at partner universities. The criteria includes: academic excellence, leadership, and financial need.
