University of Alberta Scholastic Distinction Scholarship

Students who have an average of 95% or higher in Grade 10, Grade 11, or Grade 12, and are planning to attend the U of A in the fall of 2012, are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. University of Alberta Entrance Leadership Competition

This award recognizes students who combine academic achievement (minimum of 80% in Grade 11 and Grade 12) with outstanding leadership (SLC, team captain, yearbook, volunteering etc.) Applications are available on the U of A “Bear Tracks” or by emailing awards@ualberta.ca

 

University of Waterloo Mathematics Scholarships

Students interested in attending the University of Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics are encouraged to apply for the CIBC National Scholarship ($25,000) and the Descartes National Scholarship ($12,000 – $18,000). Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship Program

Architecture Presentation

Forum for Young Canadians

Forum for Young Canadians is Canada’s premier civics education program for students aged 15 – 19 years old. Forum brings students to Ottawa for a week of intensive academic adventure immersing them in the exciting world of national politics and public affairs. If you are interested in joining hundreds of other high school students for a week stay in Ottawa on Parliament Hill, please see Mrs. McLeod for more information or for an application form. Sask Youth Apprenticeship Meeting

A Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 12:20 p.m. in the Community Room. Students will meet with Tracy McLurg from Saskatchewan Apprenticeship who will help them complete their passports. Students must bring a pencil/pen and paper to record infromation. Lunch will be provided

 

U of A: Academic Excellence Scholarship

U of S: St. Thomas More College

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. As a result, an STM student is a U of S student at the same time and an STM student receives a U of S credit. Students who are considering entering the College of Arts of Science may want to register through STM so that they are eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship ($2000) presented to one student at SMHS graduation. U of R: College of Education

Students who are interested in attending the College of Education at the University of Regina for the 2012-2013 academic year must apply by March 15th, 2012. Students who are accepted into the U or R Elementary Education program may also take the first year in Prince Albert.
