Adventures in Agriculture Program

The Rotary club will sponsor a student to attend Adventures in Agriculture. This five-day program is held in Regina during the week of Agribition (November 23st – 27th). Any student interested in agriculture and broadening your knowledge of the agriculture sector, environmental issues, and the challenge of providing food for the world, may apply to attend. Please see Mrs. McLeod for more information. The deadline to apply is October 25th.

 

Victoria Hospital Volunteer Opportunity

The Victoria Hospital and Herb Bassett Home welcomes teens in Grades 8 – 12 to join the Youth-In-Action Volunteer Program.  Application forms may be picked up at the hospital, at the school, downloaded from the hospital website at www.paphr.sk.ca , or picked up at the Victoria Hospital switchboard.

All applications must be returned to the hospital by Friday, September 9th. Please call 765-6119 for more information.

 

What is Engineering?

The College of Engineering and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan invite Grade 12 students to particpate in a full day of presentations at the U of S on Tuesday, November 8th or at the U of R on Wednesday, November 9th. Each event consists of presentations given by practising professional engineers, university professors and administrators, and university students with the objective of providing an accurate overview of what engineers do, and the variety of engineering programs offered. Contact Mr. Corcoran by October 31st if you are interested in attending the U of S presentation on Tuesday, November 8th.

 

Nursing Information Nights

Students who are interested in the Nursing program will have the opportunity to learn more about it and the admission process. The information meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 11th at the U of R in Regina and Wednesday, October 12th at the U of S in Saskatoon. Contact Mrs. McLeod for details.

U of S: Experience US

The U of S Open House for Grade 12 students will be held on Thursday, October 13th and Friday, October 14th. This is an excellent opportunity to experience university life first hand and learn about the programs. St. Mary High School students can travel by bus on October 13th.
