College of Nursing: U of S Prince Albert Campus

On Thursday, November 8th, Deborah Phoenix from the U of S College of Nursing will be at St. Mary High School during Parent/Teacher/Student interviews. Any students and parents who are interested in learning more about the U of S Prince Albert Campus Nursing program and the admission process are invited to meet with her.

Encounters With Canada

Encounters With Canada is a leadership program that brings high school students from across Canada together for a one-week stay in Ottawa. Youth who attend take part in many activities, such as touring the parliament buildings and meeting new people. Application deadline is May 31st. Contact Mrs. McLeod for more details.

U of S Academic Advisor

Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Monday, May 28th. He will be at SMHS from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The advisor will assist with course selection and answer questions. To meet with the advisor, students must sign up with Mrs. McLeod in Student Services before Wednesday, May 23rd.

U of S Medicine Presentation

First-Year Medicine Students will be presenting at SMHS in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 23rd during Period 4. Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are invited to attend to get a personal account about being in medical school and what they can do to work towards being accepted. A pink “Out-Of-Class” form may be picked up at Student Services.

Lethbridge College: School of Justice Studies

U of S On Campus Day

U of S On Campus Day is on February 29th for any students interested in taking a tour of the campus and meeting current U of S students, faculty, and staff. On Campus Day provides prospective students with first-hand experience of what is like to be a U of S student. The deadline to register is February 24th. Forum for Young Canadians

Forum for Young Canadians is Canada’s premier civics education program for students aged 15 – 19 years old. Forum brings students to Ottawa for a week of intensive academic adventure immersing them in the exciting world of national politics and public affairs.
