National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarships

This $1,500 scholarship is open to Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution full-time in 2017 – 2018 and who are the children, grandchildren, or foster children of a NUPGE member. Go to www.nupge.ca/content/12999/national-unions-scholarship-program-2017 for information and application forms. The deadline to apply is July 7th, 2017.

Access Communications Scholarships

Access Communications will award up to 20 scholarships of $1,000 to graduating students in Saskatchewan who are planning to attend post-secondary school at either a technical college or university. Affinity Credit Union Scholarships – Gr 11 and Gr 12

Affinity Credit Union has two great scholarship opportunities for grade 11 and 12 students. To be eligible to apply students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member.   • Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program – Grade 11 students

Each student receives a $2500 award upon completion of the leadership program. Twenty-six students are accepted into the program. This award is offered by our District Councils, those who’ve been elected to represent their communities within the credit union. It gives recipients the chance to participate in their local District Council meetings and a variety of other events during their grade 12 year! Deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.

  • Build a Better World Scholarship – Grade 12 students

This program is designed for students graduating in spring 2017 and enrolling in post-secondary education. We have 88 scholarships of $500 to award this year! Deadline to apply is April 17, 2017. 

SaskTel Scholarships

Every year, SaskTel helps students pursue career goals by awarding eight scholarships, worth $3000 each, to Saskatchewan students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in, or about to enroll in, full-time studies (minimum 8 months) at a post-secondary education institute in Saskatchewan; be taking a degree, diploma, or certificate program directly related to communications (such as engineering, computer sciences, accounting, business administration etc.); and have achieved a minimum 75% average in the most recent education standing. SaskTel encourages Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, visible minority (non-Caucasians), and women interested in non-traditional careers, to apply. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2017. U of S: Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships and Circle of Honour Awards

High-achieving students are encouraged to apply for Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships, the highest-valued, renewable scholarships worth up to $40,000, which are awarded to recognize academic excellence and community engagement. Included in these awards are five that are specifically designated for Aboriginal students, known as the Circle of Honour Awards. To be considered, students must apply for admission by December 1 and submit their scholarship application through their PAWS account by December 15. Information about calculating an admission average, and required subjects by program is available at the U of S website.

Kawula and Davidner Memorial Scholarships

Grade 12 students are encouraged to apply for the Tillie and Joe Kawula Scholarship and Hershel Davidner Memorial Scholarships. The two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to students entering a recognized university or technical institute. One application will apply to both awards. These scholarships are open to Grade 12 graduates from Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert  Catholic School Division and the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert campus Academic Grade 12 program.  An application form and additional information is available on the Pursueonline website. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 31st.

Canadian Parents for French – Grade 9 to Grade 12

If you are in French immersion and are interested in applying for the CPF bursary, please see M. Gervais to get an application form. The deadline to submit your form is Monday, May 2nd.  Grade 9-11  is a $100 bursary and Grade 12 is a $300.00 bursary.

Thomas More College University of Saskatchewan Scholarship

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. Their students are U of S Arts & Science students and STM students at the same time. Their classes are U of S credit classes. Each year at the St. Mary High School Commencement Exercises ONE St. Mary High School graduate that has registered through STM is eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship valued at $2,000.
