SUITL Presentations

The U of S, U of R, SIAST, Lakeland College, Sask Apprenticeship, Canadian Forces and First Nations University will be at St. Mary High School on Thursday, October 30th. presentations will be held during Period 2 and Period 3. Students may sign up in their English classes starting October 20th, or see a guidance counsellor in Student Services. Presenters will also have booths set up in the Commons over the lunch hour.

U of S Open House for Grade 12

Grade 12 students who are interested in attending the U of S next year are invited to attend the U of S Open House on Friday, October 3rd. This is a great way to explore the campus and faculties, meet university staff and faculty, and speak with current students about the U of S experience. Students must register themselves online at http://explore.usask.ca/tours_and_events/ Please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services once you had signed up, or if you have any questions.

RE/MAX of Western Canada Quest for Excellence 2015 Bursary Program

RE/MAX is offering sixteen $1000 bursaries to Grade 12 students. This program recognizes the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students who demonstrate leadership and community contribution initiatives. Loran Award

The Loran Award seeks to recognize students who demonstrate character, leadership, and commitment and service to the community. Up to 30 Loran Awards are available (maximum $80,000). Grade 12 Transcripts

Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary institution in September 2014 will need to have their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education to that institution. Students may order a transcript online at www.education.gov.sk.ca/transcripts. Please see a counselor in Student Services if you have any questions.

U of S Academic Advisor

Thursday, April 10th, 2014

Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Thursday, May 29th. The advisor will be at the school from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The advisor will assist with course selection and answer any other questions you may have. Students must sign up by Tuesday, May 27th to meet with the advisor. Please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services to book an appointment.

SIAST at St. Mary High School

On Tuesday, April 15th Christine Nemish from SIAST will be in the St. Mary High School Commons during Parent/Teacher/Student interviews from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to meet with interested students and parents about the admission process and programs at SIAST.

U of S Prince Albert Campus

A U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor will be at St. Mary High School in the Commons on Tuesday, April 15th and Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews. Joanne Marchand, U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor, will answer admission questions and provide information about course selections etc.

House of Commons Page Program

St. Thomas More College (STM) is a Catholic liberal arts college that is federated with the University of Saskatchewan. Their students are U of S Arts & Science students and STM students at the same time. Their classes are U of S credit classes. Each year at the St. Mary High School Commencement Exercises ONE St. Mary High School graduate that has registered through STM is eligible for the Les and Irene Dube Service & Justice Scholarship valued at $2,000.
