Superannuated Teachers Scholarship

Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Grade 12 student from a Prince Albert high school who has been accepted to a Saskatchewan Teacher Education Program. Please see a counselor in Student Services for application details. Deadline to apply is August 1, 2014.

U of S U-Start 2014

U-Start 2014 will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at St. Mary High School in the Theatre from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. The U-Start session is facilitated by the U of S and will show new students and their parents how to  register for their classes, organize class schedules, housing options, transitions programs, and more. Students may go online and register with the U of S for the U-Start session.

SIAST at St. Mary High School

On Tuesday, April 15th Christine Nemish from SIAST will be in the St. Mary High School Commons during Parent/Teacher/Student interviews from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to meet with interested students and parents about the admission process and programs at SIAST.

U of S Prince Albert Campus

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014

A U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor will be at St. Mary High School in the Commons on Tuesday, April 15th and Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews. Joanne Marchand, U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor, will answer admission questions and provide information about course selections etc.

SaskTel Scholarships

SaskTel Scholarships are available to Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a program directly related to telecommunications at a Post-Secondary institution in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Credit Unions – Learning Grant Program

Two grant valued at $1000 each will be awarded to eligible students who will be studying at a Canadian university or college in 2014. Any student who is a member of a Saskatchewan Credit Union is eligible to apply. The grants will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, artistic/athletic achievements, community involvement and leadership. The deadline to apply is April 30th, 2014. National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarships

This scholarship is open to Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary education institution full-time in 2013 – 2014 and who are the children, grandchildren or foster children of a NUPGE member. Please see a counselor in Student Services or go to www.nupge.ca/scholarships for information and application forms for The Tommy Douglas Scholarship, The Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship, The Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians, and The Scholarship for Visible minorities. 2014 Karthiha Guruparan and Bill Winsor Scholarships

Request for Student Transcripts

Grade 12’s who are planning on attending a Post Secondary Institution in September 2014 will need their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education.

Since five time/destination requests are allowed for the fee, students are encouraged to request that transcripts be sent to the post-secondary institution(s) and a home address at the end of Semester 1 and the end of Semester 1 & 2.

You may order and pay for your transcript online at www.education.gov.sk.ca/transcripts. Any questions may be directed to Government of Saskatchewan staff at Student and Teacher Services: 306-7787-9525.
