USask Indigenous Student Experience Day

Indigenous Student Experience Day is Friday, October 16th from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. It is a campus-wide event designed specifically for Indigenous students in Grades 11 and 12 who are exploring post-secondary options. Students learn about different fields of study, discover pathways to future careers, gain an understanding of the university application process, and explore the services and support available as a future University of Saskatchewan student. Free parking will be provided for participants and lunch will be hosted in the Gordon Red Bear Student Centre. Parents/guardians and teachers are also welcome. Schulich Leader Scholarships

Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships in Canada. This scholarship was established to encourage the best and brightest students to be the next generation of entrepreneurial-minded, technology innovators. There are 50 engineering scholarships valued at $120,000 each and 50 science, technology or math scholarships valued at $100,000 each. Schulich Leader Scholarships are open to all Canadian high schools with graduating students planning to pursue an undergraduate degree in an eligible STEM program at one of our 20 partner universities. It is important to note that students who are planning for a career as a medical practitioner or researcher (doctor, dentist, nurse, psychologist, pharmacist, optometrist, etc.) are NOT eligible to apply. École St. Mary High School can only nominate ONE candidate and nomination is competitive. If you are interested in being considered for nomination, please email a list of school/community involvement, leadership activities, and a statement about financial need to Mr. Quintal (rene.quintal@pacsd.ca) in Student Services by Wednesday, January 6, 2027, before 9:00 am to be considered for nomination. SaskPolytech: PA Campus Open House Thursday, October 22nd

Take control of your future and make your connection at the Prince Albert Open House on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the PA Campus, Technical Building on 1100 15th St E. At the Open House, prospective students and their parents can learn more about: programs and opportunities,  applications and admission processes, scholarships/ awards/bursaries,  and services for students. This event is open to high school students from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. and is open to students and the public from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Students must find their own transportation, have a parent excuse them from school for the afternoon, and register via the link Open House. 

 

Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career Fair

The Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career Fair is Wednesday, October 14th at the Art Hauser Center. Grade 9 students will all be going in the morning. Grade 10-12 students will be going in the afternoon, but will need to sign up as there is limited space for bussing. The benefit of the career/job fair cannot be overstated for students, Students in grade 9 are meeting career education outcomes by attending, as well as planning what classes to take once in high school to best meet their career ambitions. For the students in grades 10-12, the connection is clear, as these students are on the cusp of graduating and have some significant decisions ahead of them.
