Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship

The Government of Saskatchewan is awarding up to six scholarships of $1000. The scholarships are awarded annually to qualifying nominees currently registered in Grade 12 at a Saskatchewan high school and are intended to assist with the first year of post-secondary education. The completed nomination form (including a portfolio outline) and a letter of nomination outlining how the student being nominated fits the criteria must be submitted to the selection committee by March 15, 2015.

A selection committee will review all nominations received, and will select qualified winners for both scholarships based on the following criteria:

1. Leadership
2. Responsibilities out of school
3. Financial support needed
4. Academic performance

Each scholarship applicant submission must be complete and include the following:

1. A completed nomination form
2. A letter of nomination from the school leadership team
3. A student portfolio

All winning and non-winning nominees will be notified following the review process in the spring of each year. Recipients will also receive a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Education before the end of the school year in which they were nominated.
