Bourse Canadian Parents for French: Gr 9 – 12

Canadian Parents for French – Prince Albert offre une bourse pour un ou une élève de chaque niveau scolaire de la 9e à la 12e année. Les candidates et les candidats doivent démontrer un certain leadership et un intérêt pour la langue française. Les bourses sont d’une valeur de 100 $ pour la 9e à la 11e année et de 300 $ pour la 12e année. La date limite pour soumettre le formulaire est le 7 mai 2021. SIA AGROLOGY AWARD: $1,000

The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA) offers six $1,000 scholarships for Grade 12 high school students entering a post-secondary program related to agrology. Agrology is the application of science to agriculture, bioresources, food and the environment by professionals. The profession of agrology addresses many of today’s critical issues in production agriculture, food safety and environmental quality. Conexus Youth Leadership Award: $1,500

The Conexus Youth Leadership Award recognizes graduating high school students who show leadership in everything they do and are guided by the cooperative principles. Conexus will award ten grade 12 students across Saskatchewan with $1,500 and recognize them through our social media channels. The application deadline is April 16, 2021. Paddy O’Rourke Poetry Scholarship

Stacey Levitt Memorial Award: $2,500

STACEY LEVITT MEMORIAL AWARD: $2,500
The Stacey Levitt Memorial Award was created in memory and celebration of Stacey’s life by her family through Parachute. This award encourages Canadian youth to embody Stacey’s qualities and ideals and Parachute’s overarching goals of a long life lived to the fullest, understanding the importance of risk management and injury prevention. The Levitt family awards each year’s selected recipient $2,500 to help them live their life to the fullest. The award could be put toward an educational endeavor, engagement in sports and investment in a travel experience. These pursuits would have resonated with Stacey, who loved school, sports and travel. My Money, My Future Challenge: $10,000; $5,000; $2,500

The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) is partnering with CIBC to give high school-aged youth (14-18) the opportunity to apply their creativity and skills to create new tools and resources to help other young Canadians improve their financial knowledge. The 1st place winner will receive $10,000 towards future education or training. The 2nd place winner will receive $5,000. The 3rd place winner will receive $2,500. Winning submissions will be showcased on a new website for use by teachers, parents, and youth. The last day to register is March 15th, 2021 and the deadline for project submissions is April 16th, 2021. For details about registering, please visit: mymoneymyfuturechallenge.ca

Terry Fox Humanitarian Award

The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award ($28,000 dispersed over four years) is open to students of all abilities who are pursuing a degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox to improve human welfare, make a difference, and have a positive impact on community and others, their courage in overcoming obstacles (physical, financial, etc.), and definite marks of distinction and persistence in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic, and civic life. Junior Citizen of the Year: Nominations

The Junior Citizen of the Year award has honoured the youth of Saskatchewan for over 40 years. The program is sponsored by The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association, in partnership with SaskPower, and the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.  These prestigious awards are given to students who:

  • Have a positive lifestyle
  • Are dedicated to community and school
  • Have a strong sense of caring and responsibility
  • Have the ability to overcome life’s challenges
  • Inspire others
  • Are between ages 8 to 18
