Diamond North Credit Union Scholarships

Diamond North Credit Union is now accepting scholarship applications from member grade 12 students in our service area. Seven $1000 awards are available to students who are members of DNCU. Selection is based on leadership, community involvement, extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement. Conexus Youth Leadership: $1500

The Conexus Youth Leadership Award recognizes graduating high school students who show leadership in everything they do and are guided by the cooperative principles. Conexus will award ten grade 12 students across Saskatchewan with $1,500 and recognize them through our social media channels. The application deadline is Friday, April 15, 2022. U of A Registration 101 Workshops

March 9th, 2022

Registration 101 Workshops are now available at the University of Alberta. Students will learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration, chat with an advisor and get advice on which courses to take, and explore the next steps on their journey at the U of A. Students can view the full schedule and register at uab.ca/reg101. While all admitted students are welcome to attend, students must have accepted their admission offer to build a draft schedule.

 

Affinity CU: Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Award 

February 10th, 2022

Grade 11 students who are a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Each student receives a $2500 award upon completion of the leadership program. Twenty students are accepted into the program. This award is offered by our District Councils, who have been elected to represent their communities within the Credit Union. The program gives recipients the opportunity to participate in their local District Council meetings and a variety of other events during their grade 12 year! Affinity CU: Build a Better World Scholarship

Grade 12 students who are a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students must be enrolling for post-secondary education. This year, 30 scholarships of $1000 will be awarded. Lakeland College

From February 22nd – February 25th, students can tour the Lloydminster and Vermilion campus, as well as the hands-on learning opportunities available such as a Student-Managed Farm, Emergency Training Centre, Cenovus Energy Lab, and more! As well, Lakeland College is hosting an information session on-campus on Thursday, March 10 (Lloydminster) and Friday, March 11 (Vermilion). U of S Express Admissions for Indigenous Students

On Monday, February 7th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m, USask is hosting the Express Admissions for Indigenous Students event. Indigenous students who attend this event will have their application fees waived. The event will begin with a brief presentation about USask admissions and programs, as well as supports and services for Indigenous students, followed by a step-by-step walkthrough of the application. To register, students must visit the events page at https://admissions.usask.ca/tours-and-events/events.php and follow the links to the registration via Zoom. Since the event will be online via Zoom, students can join by using a computer or a cell phone, if they have the zoom app installed. Application fee waiver codes will be provided during the session. Complete applications submitted that evening, including transcripts, will receive a decision within one week.

The next Early Admission Days for High School Students event is Tuesday, February 8th – Tuesday, February 15th. This is a special application period designed to help students fill out their University of Regina application(s)! Students will have their application processed within a week, and if admissible, receive conditional acceptance. Students also receive a reduced application fee ($50).
