Indigenous Student Experience Day is Friday, October 16^th from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. It is a campus-wide event designed specifically for Indigenous students in Grades 11 and 12 who are exploring post-secondary options. Students learn about different fields of study, discover pathways to future careers, gain an understanding of the university application process, and explore the services and support available as a future University of Saskatchewan student. Free parking will be provided for participants and lunch will be hosted in the Gordon Red Bear Student Centre. Parents/guardians and teachers are also welcome. Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a Post Secondary Institution will need their high school transcripts sent by the Ministry of Education.

Take control of your future and make your connection at the Prince Albert Open House on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the PA Campus, Technical Building on 1100 15th St E. At the Open House, prospective students and their parents can learn more about: programs and opportunities,  applications and admission processes, scholarships/ awards/bursaries,  and services for students. This event is open to high school students from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. and is open to students and the public from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Students must find their own transportation, have a parent excuse them from school for the afternoon, and register via the link Open House. 

The Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career Fair is Wednesday, October 14th at the Art Hauser Center. Grade 9 students will all be going in the morning. Grade 10-12 students will be going in the afternoon, but will need to sign up as there is limited space for bussing. The benefit of the career/job fair cannot be overstated for students, Students in grade 9 are meeting career education outcomes by attending, as well as planning what classes to take once in high school to best meet their career ambitions. For the students in grades 10-12, the connection is clear, as these students are on the cusp of graduating and have some significant decisions ahead of them.

We will be taking a group of students over to the Prince Albert Grand Council Urban Centre for a Job Fair on Thursday, March 19th for approximately 1 hour. The time of day will depend on how many students register. The job fair is an opportunity to meet and greet with potential employers. You have the option to apply with some of these organizations, so please bring your resume. (Printing and resume updating will be available on site). You are also welcome to attend simply to explore and learn more about the options available. Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, March 18th. Register soon, as there is a limit on how many students we can bring. Representatives from post-secondary institutions (Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, Canadian Armed Forces, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission, and Saskatchewan Polytech) will be at the school on Friday, March 6th at 12:30 pm in the library (Room 128). Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to take this opportunity to hear about hundreds of programs offered, speak one-on-one with representatives, and apply directly to their program of choice! Saskatchewan Polytechnic is pleased to invite Indigenous Grade 11 students to the Indigenous Student Spend‑A‑Day event on March 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert Campus – Technical Building (Gymnasium). This event is designed to introduce Indigenous students to the wide range of programs available at Sask Polytech. Throughout the day, students will have the chance to explore hands‑on activities, learn about different career pathways, meet instructors, and gain a clearer understanding of their options after high school. The goal is to create a welcoming, informative experience that supports students as they begin planning their post‑secondary journey. This year’s focus is Grade 11 students so they are exposed to Sask Polytech early enough to explore programs, identify their areas of interest, and be ready to apply when applications open next fall.
