SASKPOLYTECH: Indigenous Student Spend-a-Day

Friday, January 30th, 2026

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is pleased to invite Indigenous Grade 11 students to the Indigenous Student Spend‑A‑Day event on March 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert Campus – Technical Building (Gymnasium). This event is designed to introduce Indigenous students to the wide range of programs available at Sask Polytech. Throughout the day, students will have the chance to explore hands‑on activities, learn about different career pathways, meet instructors, and gain a clearer understanding of their options after high school. The goal is to create a welcoming, informative experience that supports students as they begin planning their post‑secondary journey. This year’s focus is Grade 11 students so they are exposed to Sask Polytech early enough to explore programs, identify their areas of interest, and be ready to apply when applications open next fall. Lunch, snacks and transportation will be provided. Indigenous students who are interested in attending must complete the form using the link SK Poly Indigenous Student Spend a Day- March 4th – Fill out form by Wednesday, February 11th at noon. Creating Connections Job Career Fair

Meet and greet with potential employers on Thursday, November 27th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Prince Albert Grand Council Urban Centre (#1211 1st Ave. West). Please bring resumes and credentials. Printing and resume updating services will be available on site.) The event is hosted by the PAGC Labour Force Development, Woodland Cree, Eastside Limb, PAGC Urban, SITAG, and Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

SUNTEP: Tour & Presentation

Monday, November 17th, 2025

Students have the opportunity to sign-up for a tour and presentation at SUNTEP on Thursday, November 27th at 1:30pm. The presentation is about 1 hour and transportation is provided. Grade 10-12 students who are interested in going for the tour are asked to sign up at SUNTEP Tour – Fill out form before Tuesday, November 25th at noon. Information about the program is in the link below.

Saskatchewan Mining Association Events

SMA has teamed up with the Industry Education Councils to offer hands-on days for grade 10-12 students to learn about career pathways in mining at Saskatchewan’s post-secondary institutes.
1) Spotlight on Mining is Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at SaskPolytech & USask in Saskatoon. Spotlight on Mining explores careers in the mining industry through hands-on activities and short presentations from Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s School of Mining, Energy & Manufacturing Programs (Mining Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Chemical Technology) and the University of Saskatchewan’s Geology Department and industry experts. 2) ManuQuest
Join us to kick off Saskatchewan Manufacturing Week at our ManuQuest event, where students will be introduced to the diverse range of careers available in the manufacturing sector. Students will tour Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s School of Mining, Energy & Manufacturing, as well as a local manufacturing facility, to observe industry professionals at work and learn about their careers. 3) THINK Mining – Engineering, Mining Operations, and Geology Career Exploration is Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM with the University of Regina. Grade 10 to 12 students will enjoy an interactive day exploring in-demand and high-paying careers within the Saskatchewan Mining Industry. USask PA Campus Open House

U of R: What is Engineering Day

Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career Fair: October 15th

The Opening Doors to Tomorrow Career Fair is being held at the Art Hauser Center on Wednesday, October 15th (Day 2). The benefit of this career/job fair cannot be overstated for students. Students in Grade 9 are meeting career education outcomes by attending, as well as planning what classes to take once in Grade 10-12 to best meet their career ambitions. For the students in Grade 10-12, the connection is clear, as these students are on the cusp of graduating and have some significant decisions ahead of them. All Grade 9 classes will be attending. Grade 10-12 students who are interested in attending will need to sign up as there is limited space for bussing. Grade 10-12 students who are interested in attending are to complete the registration form by Tuesday, September 23rd at noon.

PA SaskPolytech Open House: October 9th

This event is open to high school students from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. (Students must find their own transportation, have a parent excuse them from school for the afternoon and register via the link Open House). This event is open to students and the public from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
