U of S, U of R, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Lakeland College, Sask. Apprenticeship, Canadian Forces, and First Nations University will be at St. Mary High School on Thursday, October 30^th. Presentations will be held during period 2 and 3. Students can sign up in their English classes starting October 20^th or see a guidance counselor in Student Services. Presenters will also have booths set up over the lunch hour in the Commons.

U-Start 2014 will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at St. Mary High School in the Theatre from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. The U-Start session is facilitated by the U of S and will show new students and their parents how to  register for their classes, organize class schedules, housing options, transitions programs, and more. Students may go online and register with the U of S for the U-Start session.

Students, professors, and engineers from the U of S, U of R, and APEGS (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan) will present the different fields of engineering and the programs available. The day-long event is on Tuesday, October 8th at the U of R, and Friday, October 11th at the U of S. For more information, please see Mr. Corcoran.

Students are invited to attend this event on Tuesday, November 5th at TCU Place in Saskatoon. Students will explore educational opportunities, examine career paths, and plan vocational goals. Grade 12 students are invited to visit the U of R on Saturday, October 26th. Students will be able to tour the campus, learn about programs and participate in fun activities and seminars. For more information, please go to www.regina.ca/futurestudents or see a counsellor in Student Services.

This career fair event will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at the P.A. Exhibition Centre. Over 50 exhibitors will be in attendance. Students who are interested in going must sign p with Mr. Miller in Student Services.

The U of S will be open to Grade 12 students on Friday, October 4th. This is an great way to experience university life and learn about programs. Students must register online at www.explore.usask.ca/events. For more information, please contact a counsellor in Student Services.

First Year U of S Medicine Students will be presenting at St. Mary High School in the Chapel on Monday, May 27th during Period 2. Students in Grade 9 – 12 who are interested in a medical career may want to attend this presentation. You will find out about the details of medical school, as well as how you can work towards achieving that goal. Students who plan to attend require a “pink permission form” from Student Services. This day-long event on Friday, May 10th is open to new and future students so Grade 11 students are welcome to attend. Students are invited to stay FREE in the residence facilities.
