The USask Virtual Open House is Saturday, October 23rd from 1 pm to 4 pm. The University of Alberta will be presenting to prospective students of École St. Mary High School on Thursday, October 28th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The presentation will cover programs, campus life, and admission requirements. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to have any of their questions answered. Registration for online faculty-specific and general Registration 101 sessions are now available. At these sessions, students will learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration, chat with an advisor and get advice on which courses to take, and explore the next steps on their journey at the U of A. Early Admission Days (November 25th – December 2nd) is a special application period to help high school students fill out their University of Regina application. Students who send in their unofficial transcript and reduced application fee by Wednesday, December 2 will have their application processed within a week, and if admissible, will receive conditional acceptance. Students will also be contacted to choose a virtual appointment time in order to ‘pick up’ their admission package and discuss their admission decision! The College of Engineering is hosting a virtual edition of “What is Engineering?” on Tuesday, November 17th from 3pm to 7pm. The presentation will include a virtual tour of the Engineering Building and a talk with the dean of engineering, faculty and instructors about what engineers do and how versatile an engineering degree is.
