U of S Music Open House

Grade 11 or 12 students who are interested in studying music at the University of Saskatchewan are invited to attend an open house on Friday, October 4th. Please contact Mrs. Skomorowski for more information and registration details. 

U of S Open House

Friday, September 20th, 2019

Any student who wants to attend the University of Saskatchewan Open House on Friday, September 27th, 2019 needs to pre-register online at explore.usask.ca  Online registration closes Monday September 23, 2019. Register early as sessions fill up quickly! Throughout the day, students will:

  • Explore the campus and faculties
  • Take part in hands-on activities
  • Meet University staff and faculty
  • Speak with current students about the U of S experience

After registering, please see Mrs. Rapin or Mrs. Dauk in Student Services if you want to book a spot on the bus ($10.00).

U of S U-Start Registration Workshops

Tuesday, May 7th, 2019

U of S is offering in-person and online events in May and June to help newly admitted University of Saskatchewan students get ready for registering for classes. At U-Start, students will learn:

  • how to choose and register for classes,
  • how they can get a head start,
  • where they can get help, and
  • what they need to know before September.

One of the U-Start workshops will be held in Prince Albert on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 (6 p.m. – 8 p.m.). You must register online. See Mrs. Rapin in student services for additional information. A full list of U-Start events and other details are available online and students are encouraged to sign up at:  usask.ca/ustart.

U of S Academic Advisor at Ecole St Mary High School

Tuesday, March 5th, 2019

Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She will be here from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The advisor will help students with course selection and any other questions they may have about registering for classes. Students must sign up to meet with the advisor. Please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services if you are interested in booking an appointment.

U of R – French Presentation

An Advisor from the U of R will be at our school on Thursday, November 22nd during Period 1. Come learn about what you can do in French at the University of Regina with La Cité! The U of R has the largest selection of study options in French in Saskatchewan, with programs in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies, Education and Nursing. Other opportunities for students include studying abroad, internships, residence, scholarships, and more. What is Engineering?

Registration for the annual “What is Engineering?” event is now open. The event will be held at the University of Saskatchewan on Friday, November 16th, 2018. Students will connect with professional engineers, university professors, administrators and current students for an exciting snapshot of engineering, what engineers do and the exceptional variety of engineering educational programs offered in Saskatchewan by U of S and U of R. Students must register for the event before Wednesday, November 14th  at   https://whatisengineering2018.eventbrite.ca For more information, see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services.

Saskpolytech Information Night

U of A Fall Presentation

Any students interested in information about the University of Alberta are invited to attend an informational session on  Wednesday, October 31, 2018 during Period 3. The session will be presented by a U of A Student Recruiter and will provide students an opportunity to learn about what the U of A has to offer. U of R Open House

On Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. check out the U of R campus, win prizes, learn about programs, visit with academic advisors, and best of all, have the opportunity to be admitted to the U of R that day! No more waiting for weeks in anticipation! ADMISSIONS ON THE SPOT – Eligible students can be admitted to the University of Regina ON-THE SPOT and will receive a $30 discount ($70.00) on the application fee. See Mrs. Rapin in student services for more information.

Future U of S Students: Math Placement Test

The University of Saskatchewan is pleased to offer Prince Albert and area students the opportunity to write the Math Placement Test (MPT) in Prince Albert. Future U of S students who register in Math 110, 121, 123, and 125 are required to write the MPT. Traditionally, U of S students had to travel to Saskatoon to write this test. The Prince Albert date and time are yet to be confirmed (possibly second week of June at U of S Prince Albert Campus). Any students who think they want to write the Math Placement Test in Prince Albert are asked to reply by email to pbibby@srsd119.ca with the following information by Friday, May 18, 2018:

  • First Name (as it appears on your PAWS account)
  • Middle Initial (as  it appears on your PAWS account)
  • Last Name (as  it appears on your PAWS account)
  • USask NSID (abc123)
  • USask Student ID (8 digits)
  • USask Email Address (abc123&mail.usask.ca)
  • Other Personal Email Address
  • School you are currently attending
