This year’s theme is “Stewards in Sustainability”. One winning scholarship valued at $4,000 and three runner-up scholarships valued at $2,000 will be awarded to students enrolling in an agriculture-related post-secondary program in fall 2016. Applications must be submitted by March 1^st, 2016. Please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services for more information.

Any Grade 12 student who is planning to attend university in the fall of 2016 and will be studying in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, may be interested in being nominated for the Schulich Leader Scholarship. Please see Mrs. Rapin in student services by or before Friday, January 8^th, 2016 if you are interested in being nominated. For more information go to www.schulichleaders.com

TD Scholarships are open to students across Canada who are in Grade 12 and have demonstrated outstanding community leadership. Please see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services or got to www.td.com/scholarship .The application deadline is November 27^th, 2015.

The Loran Foundation seeks to recognize students that demonstrate character, leadership, commitment and service to the community. There are 30 Loran Awards available across Canada at up to $100,000. The application deadline is Wednesday October 21, 2015. The Junior Citizen of the Year award has honoured the youth of Saskatchewan for the past 38 years. The program is sponsored by The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association, in partnership with SaskPower, and the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan. Four award recipients are chosen each year and receive a $3,000 bursary to be used for their post-secondary education. These prestigious awards are given to kids who: Have a positive lifestyle, Are dedicated to community and school, Have a strong sense of caring and responsibility, Have the ability to overcome life’s challenges, Inspire others, Are between ages 8 to 18. These two scholarships are open to Grade 12 students. Academic standing is a factor, however community involvement and volunteerism will carry the largest influence in determining recipients. The Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $500. All applications must be received by the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (Prince Albert Chapter) before August 1 of the calendar year.
