U of S Medicine Presentation

First-Year Medicine Students will be presenting at SMHS in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 23rd during Period 4. Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are invited to attend to get a personal account about being in medical school and what they can do to work towards being accepted. A pink “Out-Of-Class” form may be picked up at Student Services.

Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Scholarship

Students who will be attending a Saskatchewan-based post-secondary program that is associated with the Pulse Industry or Agriculture (Agriculture, Natural Science, Engineering, Nutrition) and have a parent who is a registered pulse producer may apply for one of five scholarships, valued at $5000, sponsored by the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers. Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert Bursary

The Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert will be awarding two $2000 bursaries to two Grade 12 students who will be attending a post-secondary institute in 2012-2013 year. Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria: knowledge of the Kinsmen Club, financial need, community involvement, academic standing. The deadline to apply is May 4th. U of S: U-Start 2012

U-Start is facilitated by the U of S and will assist new students and their parents with registering for classes, organizing class schedules, housing options, transition programs and more. The session will be held on Monday, May 28th at St. Mary High School in the Theatre from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
