Agriculture Student Scholarship
Friday, December 4th, 2020Schulich Leader Scholarship
Wednesday, October 7th, 2020The Schulich Leader Scholarship is a prestigious entrance scholarship awarded to a high school graduate enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) program at one of 20 partner universities. The nominated student can win one of 25 engineering scholarships at $100,000 or one of 25 science, technology, or math scholarships at $80,000. The criteria include academic excellence, leadership, and financial need. It is important to note that students who are planning for a career as a medical practitioner or researcher (doctor, dentist, nurse, psychologist, pharmacist, optometrist, etc.) are NOT eligible to apply. This scholarship is for entrepreneurial-minded innovators outside of the medical community. St. Mary High School can only nominate ONE candidate and nomination is competitive. Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarships
Monday, September 21st, 2020HORATIO ALGER CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Horatio Alger Association of Canada will be awarding 160 scholarships of $5000. The deadline to apply is Sunday, October 25th 2020, 11:59 PM EST. Applicants must be a Grade 12 student with plans to enter university in the fall of 202, demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or less annual net income per family is required), be involved in co-curricular and community service activities, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65. National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarships
Thursday, May 28th, 2020Each year, the 390,000 member National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) offers 8 Scholarships of $2,500 each that reflect its pursuit of equal opportunity for workers. Entrants must be the children/grandchildren or foster children/grandchildren of members or retirees of the National Union’s Component unions or its affiliates and who are planning to enter the 1st year of a Canadian public post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis in 2020. All of the 8 scholarships awarded will be based on the best 750 – 1,000 word essay for each scholarship. The deadline for applications and essays is July 6, 2020 and the 8 scholarships may have additional requirements, as noted at https://nupge.ca/content/national-unions-scholarship-program-2020.
Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan Scholarship
Thursday, May 28th, 2020The Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship is awarded to a student who is committed to the teaching profession. In order to apply for the $500 scholarship, the student must provide proof of acceptance into a Saskatchewan College of Education, been actively involved in school and community. Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship
Thursday, May 28th, 2020The Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship is for graduating grade 12 students entering their first year of post-secondary education in agriculture, food science or a culinary program at a Canadian university or college of their choice in the fall of 2020. Up to 65 scholarships valued at $1,500 each will be awarded to students based on demonstrated academic standards and leadership in their community. The application deadline for this scholarship is June 10, 2020. Saskatchewan School Boards Association Scholarships
Thursday, May 28th, 2020Each year, the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards a $2,500 scholarship to graduating high students entering a Degree Program, and a $2,500 scholarship to graduating high student entering a Technical/Trade Program. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need and a 500-word essay. The application deadline is August 31st. Affinity Credit Union: Build a Better World Scholarship
Monday, February 24th, 2020Grade 12 students who are a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students must be enrolling for post-secondary education. This year, 30 scholarships of $1000 will be awarded. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2020.
